I just discovered something!

In my current game, I married Penny and had a couple kids. I decided to get a divorce and endovenate the kids. Shortly after, I married Haley and had a kid. I named the new kid the same name as one of the previous kids and it already has 10 hearts! As a side note, I now get viciously attacked by flying things when I go to the area with the dove shrine!

Previously, it was mentioned that the Prismatic Shard could be used to turn children into doves with permanent effects in the Shrine of Darkness of Selfishness. Ancient Dolls will appear through television. After that, the cursed Ancient Doll would appear in front of the Shrine of Selfish Darkness. The doll will fly and attack the player.

Wow, interesting glitch. I guess it didn't occur to CA that somebody might use the same name again after "endovenation" (I love that word).

So does this mean you cloned your kid? Since the cursed doll version still exists, as proved by it still attacking you.
