I was thinking about putting a garden in or just a foresty area.

The totems, trees to get more resources to sell. I dunno, I can only see a small part and I don't know what else do you have around.
If we stick to the options you gave, a garden would be cool, and maybe you can show the result.

I vote foresty-looking outside with a hidden ring of flowers within poking out here and there. Maybe put a torch hidden behind a single tree or ornament near the center to cast an eerie glow which barely escapes the tree-lined edge, beckoning in only the most curious of passersby.

It's not very much, just my crop area and the livestock pens.

It's called Gwen's Paths! That is the gravel redo. I never liked the gravel path until I installed that mod and was like "eh what the heck, I'll try it" and now it's my fave

For real though, I'd personally put a shed down and a little campsite seating area in front. I can never have too many sheds, I always end up wanting more. I'm sure whatever you do will look great though. :3

I vote for an orchard with a sporadic garden and maybe some tapped trees? Give it a bit of a more natural vibe with grass or wild seeds or other crops dispersed around. I suppose you could include a beehive, but I'd recommend against it, instead I'd recommend one of them butterfly things. To top it off, I'd include a bunny coop somewhere nearby so they could frolic in the grassy greenness of the wild garden as well.

And yes, +1 to the absolutely gorgeous mods you have.

I think it always nice to have natural areas. I’m not saying perfectly designed and every space taken are bad, but it is a farm after all. Farm have a lot of natural areas, some areas well designed for organized work, but the rest is usually natural if they have enough land.
