Switch I can't make Krobus my roommate.

I worked so hard getting all of the little void essences I needed, Also had my house upgraded way beforehand- I buy the pendant then I go talk to Krobus and I try and gift it to him and it just doesn't let me- The item acts like it's an ungiftable item, And I just opened his shop whenever I try and gift it to him. It's like im not even holding it? Please help. I want Krobus to be my roommate so bad.

Assuming you have 10 with Krobus, this is a bug that's been mentioned a few times now but I don't know if it's been fixed as I haven't found an exact list of fixes for the most recent patch. In addition to that, it's not clear if that patch has made it to Switch yet:

Nintendo seems to take their sweet time applying patches once they've been submitted by devs. Whether or not the patch has even been submitted though is the question. Maybe the Switch version had a lot more issues than other consoles. I check every day at noon for the new patch on Switch just in case!

I'm having this same issue on Switch, everything is set up so I should be able to ask him to be my roommate but I can't gift the void pendant. I'm hoping for a fix soon!

I'm having the exact same problem (I'm also on Switch but I've seen reports of people experiencing this on Xbox) When I posted my bug report on this, someone suggested that I should try giving him the Mermaid Pendant instead of the Void Pendant. Maybe trying that would work for you? I haven't done it yet (on the save I was playing on one of my goals was to get Krobus year 1 and I'm on winter 23 year 1) but I'm trying to progress far enough in another one of my saves to test the Mermaid Pendant if the Void Pendant doesn't work. Hopefully it gets patched soon though, it's pretty annoying.
