How to use mod in iPad

You can't mod on iOS, including iPads, iPhones, etc.

Mods are currently PC exclusive with some partial porting to android as it's a more open platform, though even now I don't believe anyone has developed a 1.6 smapii port for mobile which is needed to run most mods there

Thanks for the info! I play on Android, and modding is limited compared to PC. Some APK versions support light mods, but they're not fully compatible with the 1.6 update yet. Hopefully, a proper mobile SMAPI port comes soon — fishing mods would be great for touch screens!

One I recommend is the Fishing Made Easy mod, which adjusts the fishing difficulty and makes it more manageable. You could also try CJB Item Spawner to get all the fishing gear you need quickly.
