How to use crab pots to earn over 10m gold in first year

I don't know what do you think of the crab pot, but I think it's really crazy since it can make you really rich in 2 years.
Firstly, you need to know how to use a chair to go to some place you can't go, like into the secret woods in spring 1, year 1, it also allows you go into the sea and lakes. Then you can craft or buy a lot of crab pots and place them in the sea. When you sell the fish, you can use the money to buy ores and woods to craft or just buy the crab pots from Willy. As clam now is a kind of fish in verson 1.6, with mariner skill and cook the cheap fish(less than 75g to sell) to sashimi, the crab pot can earn 85g per day. Although this is not very much, but you can read the book "The art O'Crabbing" to increase your income by 25% and change your skill to angler(you need to sell the more expensive fish) to increase your income by about 23%, and your income will be 130g per crab pot per day. You can get 125g of margin per crab pot per day.
Although collecting the crab pots may cost a lot of time, but you don't need to craft anything else. You don't need to plant a lot of trees or to craft a lot of sprinklers and kegs. What you need is the recipe of sashimi and trigger the 6-heart-event of Willy, which you can buy some crab cakes to have a faster speed of walking(the "Way Of The Wind" is also recommended). You can choose beach farm since it have a large sea, but other farms are also okay because you can place your crab pots in ginger island. My first save of playing crab pots earned 12m in the first year and now I'm playing a second save and I hope I can purchase a gold clock in the first year.
I'll show you some pictures of how to place the crab pots(in my second save), it may shock you but you'll understand it later.

At last I want to say, I'm a player from China, my English is not good and may have a lot of mistakes, but this will not avoid me from having discussions with you, I hope to get comments from you——the reader.

Honestly I love the idea, it's whacky and I'm all for unconventional money making, even if it relies on... dubious methods that may get patched

They explained that. Using a chair to bypass the barrier that is the shoreline.
The same can be done with the good old scythe/weapon swinging bug to exit out the "trigger" area for a new map

Honestly using a chair to OoB (or just get straight into the ocean) is new to me, must be something with 1.6, though that position looks like it forces you right outside the map so it could just be a matter of smart placement

Intrigued but Cautious: Wow, 12m in the first year with crab pots? That’s impressive! It reminds me of finding the right movers and packers in Ajman—placement and strategy are everything. I’d love to see those pictures of your pot placement. But using a chair to reach secret locations feels a bit like cutting corners. Is that really how it’s supposed to work?

I'm pretty sure not patching out chair hopping was a deliberate choice on the part of the developer. That is, I believe he is aware of the exploit but doesn't see a need to remove it from use. So it's up to you if you want to use it.

Rough estimate of about 2,000 Crab Pots at 1,500g each from Willy means you need 3M g to start up this endeavor. That seems unlikely to happen in Year 1.
Or it requires 80,000 Wood and 6,000 Iron bars. Good luck chopping and mining that.
I guess you could buy 800,000g in Wood from Robin and 4,500,000g in Iron Ore from Clint. Hm… Seems unlikely.

My Year 1 profits are just melting away and... c'mon

Let's be real, Farmer Bobbi is never gonna put that kind of effort in. She barely tolerated using the Farm Computer to figure the numbers out.

Thank you for posting this interesting exploit, and kudos for figuring this out! 👏👏👏

I rarely use exploits like this, as tempting as they may seem, but that's just my own personal style. My main concern is that if a new update (like v1.6+ did 5 months ago from this post) were to come out, then exploits like this could very well be patched out. There are many exploits that I never took advantage of for this reason, including:

Naming the farmer or animals [number][number][number] (not patched yet)
Obtaining more than one Statue of Perfection (patched)
Using the Casino (especially Calico Jack) to redeem tokens for enough Hardwood Fences to completely fill a Chest in one game day (patched)
Using the Out-of-Bounds Exploit to walk to or on areas that I shouldn't be able to access (not patched yet)
Using the Artisan Profession Exploit via the Statue of Uncertainty to profit from Pierre (patched)

There's a difference between clipping outside of bounds and threw a gap that rewards very little though

At most, clipping into the secret woods saves you a couple days and a few thousand g, whereas building full layouts out in the ocean is a tad more exploity
