How many events have you experienced?

I have over 200 hours in the game and on one particular profile I have been using is on year 7 going on 8 but I have never gotten any meteor events yet. Just 1 stone owl statue and a rare capsule so far. Considering how statistically it makes sense to get at least one event every year I have gotten two :P

How many events have you guys been getting?

Current game is at start of winter year 1, I’ve had two mushroom tree events, and a witch visit, so 3. I’ve seen a meteor happen during spring year 2 so often I thought it was guaranteed, sorry you haven’t had it yet. For what it’s worth though it’s really not that much iridium you get from it, if that helps at all.

Sorry to hear you've gone so long without the meteor. This and a few other posts are making me realize I had good RNG in my first game: 4 meteors before year 5 (I think this was the timing, I know I've had 4), 2 witch events, 2 mushroom trees converted, though zero for the stone owl or strange capsule (now in year 7). I guess whatever tiles they chose to spawn on were always used so they didn't spawn. At the time moving things on my farm wasnt a priority.

My second and third games my RNG is vastly different, no events yet though just starting year 2 in each.

Edit: Mushroom trees spread and naturally create patches, I don't count spreading as conversion.

You may have gotten meteor events, but they failed the check. As the wiki says, "The event chooses a random 3x3 area on the farm and checks if there's a 2x2 area within that contains no water, placed objects that block movement, buildings, resource clumps, or farm animals. If no such 2x2 area is found, the event does nothing."

I know the first time there was a meteor event in my game, it did nothing (from looking at Stardew Predictor). The other two did result in meteors, though the second took quite some time to find, deep in the trees on the edge of the map.

I've also had two stone owls, two witches (three, according to Predictor, though one clearly did nothing), one crop fairy, and the strange capsule (apparently twice, but it can't happen twice so the second one did nothing). Edit: and one mushroom tree.

In my current save 1 strange capsule, 1 crop fairy, so many mushroom trees ( normal for me I rarely clear-cut), 2 stone owls and I saw a mermaid while fishing during the night market. The last one may happen every time you go under in the submarine but I’ve never noticed it before!

No witches or meteors unfortunately. Demetrius did give me a much coveted tea set my first Feast of the Winter Star. That may not technically be an event, but it felt like one to me!

I’ve gotten a few meteors,1 crop fairy, one time I saw a merperson in the ocean, a few witches,1 mushroom tree, and the rarest thing I’ve gotten is the ufo on the shipping screen which has a 0.001% if it is not the 28th and it did not rain.

One of my saves is on year 6 or 7 -- I've seen the witch once or twice, a couple mushroom trees, ufo on shipping screen!, a few meteors, 1 crop fairy.. and I think that's it. ^^;​

I played many games, some for 6 or more years. I don't remember all events, but I think I had a lot. But it's different for every save. You can have 2 meteors in 2 years or none. The witch many times, but it felt like she stopped flying when I got my first eggs.
I didn't look up these things for a long time, and then some events had happend and I didn't know/notice them as something special.

I have about 12 total years in-game spread over 4 major saves and have gotten:

2 Meteors
3 Crop Fairys
2 Witches
2 Mushroom Trees
1 Strange Capsule (and finally saw the inhabitant a few days ago!)
1 Alien on the save game screen
none of the rest.


And my pear tree is still short one partridge.
