Windows [HELP] Stardew Valley closes when I launched.

I tried:

• uninstalling with steam, "steamapps\common\Stardew Valley" to make sure it's fully uninstalled, then reinstalled it
• making a backup of "AppData\Roaming\StardewValley", then deleting "AppData\Roaming\StardewValley"
• installing smapi, then running with smapi which gives a short error log saying "smapi 3.14.0, sdv 1.5.6", "mods go here...", "log started", "waiting for gaming to launch".
• I followed a guide on this steam page: link.
• I also followed the guide on this wiki page: link.

, but nothing worked.

UPDATE: I've been getting help on discord. They think it's related to https://github.com/Pathoschild/SMAPI/issues/818

try updating windows (fixed this problem for me, but wasn't steam version so it might not help)

I checked for windows updates, and it said there wasn't any.

try going to files and under "quick access" type "%appdata% (not sure if works on steam version though) and then there should be stardew valley there, then go under stardew valley and look for a file called "error logs" (there's probably only going to be three folders under stardew valley)
if you do have stardew valley under %appdata% with steam then going under the "error logs" should show any errors that cause your game to crash, for me I was missing a file called "SDL2.dll" though my stardew valley is the physical disc pc edition sooo......
