Yes, as Ereo indicated, lots of recipes have other sources than Queen of the Sauce. Many require friendship, and to get all of them you'll have to be friends with a variety of people. There are some (more when 1.5 comes to mobile too) that you'll have to buy.
It's similar when you get to crafting too. Some recipes require friendship with people. Some come from skill increases. A lot come from having to buy them. Extra special note: when you go to get the brazier recipes from Robin, you will only see one whenever you open the shop interface. You need to buy, leave the shop interface, open the shop interface, buy the next, leave, open, repeat... until you have them all.
