iOS Help no way to move on to next level in the mines

My best guesses are:
• Game bug (yuk)
• Ladder hidden in bottom rows somewhere (where you can walk and you're partially hidden by the walls)
• Rock hidden in the same bottom rows.
• Occasionally there's a flying monster outside the visible range of the screen which needs to fly in for you to kill it and create the ladder. Try zooming all the way out to uncover it?

I’ve clicked around everywhere and no monsters came

Sorry! That stinks, it's probably a bug then. Now that I think about it, taking a couple of extra Staircases to get around something like this is probably a good idea nowadays. If you have 99 Stone in your Inventory, you can make one!
