Solved [HELP] Local coop switch not working

Hi, I just purchased stardew valley on my switch so I can play with my daughter. I have created a farm and choosen host in local coop. But I cant find the multiplayer option to allow other players and when I try to connect another controller to my switch it disconnects the first? Anyone know what can be the issue?

Well, until the 1.5 update comes to consoles, you'd need 2 Switches for 2 people to play, not just 2 controllers. Luckily, the 1.5 update should be coming to consoles some time soon which includes split-screen co-op play.

Oh ok, why do they have local coop function in the game if you cant use it?

As above: You can use it, IF you have 2 consoles.

But sounds like it will be possible on one console very soon.

Local co-op is for multiple people to play, each on their own system as things stand. For example, my wife and I play local co-op games (we have 3 different MP saves we play), but that required we each purchase the game. Now, with the 1.5 update, if we had a controller, we could play a co-op on one computer using the split-screen option. (We're unlikely to do that, tbh, as it's kinda easier for us to just continue as we've been doing.)

The 1.5 update hasn't come to other platforms yet, but it's coming pretty soon. As soon as it is available, you will be able to play a MP game on one console with 2 controllers.
