PC [HELP] Lag during multiplayer co-op

Dear ConcernedApe, my girlfriend and I love your game. However, we are having some problems with the game after the update. The joining player experience lag, a really long time loading the game or changing between places, collecting items and access to chests. Before the new patch the game was fine. We tried so many ways to solve this but the problem still occur. Please help us finding solution for this problem. Merry christmas and happy holidays. Thank you :)

My boyfriend and I have experienced the same problems. It was fine for a while but the longer we play the worse the lag and loading screen time there is. He can’t even ride his horse either. Please let me know if you find a solution! :)

It is possible for connection issues to happen at random times, I'd recommend both people in the game restart their wifi routers (if you haven't already) and see if that helps.

My husband and I are also having this issue as of 1.5 We're playing local co-op and we get random lag now throughout the game that we've never had before. We don't have any mods or anything like that. Here's hoping a patch is released soon.

we solved it by unchecking the steam cloud. To do that in Steam :
1. Go to Steam library
2. Left click in Stardew Valley
3. Choose "Properties"
4. In "General", uncheck the "Keep games saves in the Steam Cloud for Stardew Valley" box
