Android Help I have no Quests on Lewis's board

This is my 2nd farm. It happened on my 1st farm too around yr15. I just kept playing even though a couple of guys tried to help me but none were familiar with Android. That was Sep 2024.
Now I'm on year 6 or so and it started on year 4. Nothing special was going on. One day there were quests, then there weren't any. It gets pretty boring after I've done all the beginning things, like bring Gus a fish. The only one I haven't completed is get to the bottom of desert caves.
I have avoided 'starting where I left off' and begin each day new. I hadn't been doing that on my first farm. What to do? Do I have to start all over again? Why does no one help with this problem?
Sorry if I sound grumpy, I am. No one's fault but arthritis. Grateful for any help.

As you suggested, I used my computer to check out what your link said to do. First, I used MyFiles (Samsung) and only found a jng file. Then I downloaded Google FileMgr, and the data file is empty.
So when the game says it's saving my progress, it isn't? That's not good, obviously. Why wouldn't it get saved? Is that why all this is happening to both farms? I should mention that my first farm was version 1.5. I started 2nd farm after the 1.6 update.

Do you have quests in your quest book that you haven't redeemed the rewards for?

The game won't offer quests you already have in your journal so you'll just never get quests if you have ones of the same type within your journal

The quests I'm not finding are in the Mayor's board, not the journal. There's only one in the journal I've not been able to complete. There are many on the Mayor's Board I've not even seen because it went blank.

The journal records all quests you accept.
After you complete the quest, you have to get your reward from the journal to remove them:
