iOS [HELP] how do you drop items on ground?

I'm playing on Ipad pro and using xbox controller
does anyone know how to drop items on ground?

Good question, I'm an iOS player too. I'm not sure if this works because it is an old topic and I haven't tried it yet. I initially assumed I couldn't on iOS because I could never figure out how and saw other posts saying it wasnt possible, but seems like there might be a roundabout way to get it done after all (if it still works that is, worth a shot maybe):
