PC [HELP] Ginger Island Multiplayer Issue

My friend cannot enter the door in Willie’s shop to take the boat to Ginger Island with me. Do they also need to fix the boat, or build a better relationship with Willie? Or is this a bug? I’ve fixed the boat and been there a few times alone.

Is it possible they tried to enter before 9am or after 5pm? The shop will be closed outside of those hours. Another possibility if they've just created a farmer on your save, is that they'll need to read a letter from Willy on their second day in order to enter the shop.

I am playing multiplayer and we both received the cut screen showing the completion of the boat. When my friend enters Willy's shop, they can't see the door to the back room and thus can't visit Ginger Island with me. Has anyone been able to visit Ginger Island in multiplayer yet?

There are some mods that may interfere with a player's ability to access Ginger Island. My friend removed all mods that they had installed which I did not (including SVE) and this fixed their access issue.

I’m having the same issue! We don’t use mods, my friend wasn’t online when we fixed the boat and had the cutscene when the community center was completed. Waited a few days to see if he’ll get a letter from Willy which didn’t happen. We even tried to see if he’d be able to trigger the community center completion cutscene but nothing.. He still is not able to go to Willy’s back door :/

For other people who come here from google: make sure your friend has read all his mail. My preschooler has been ignoring her mailbox, and I think that kept the cutscene from activating for her.
