As title. "Stardew valley has stopped working". Im on Win7. Tried many, many fixes (reinstall, file integrity check, delete startup prefernces, directx, registry changes, sound drivers update etc etc). Problem still there. Why is this game so buggy? I'm kinda angry. My two little boys spend some of their savings for this game and its not working.

Can you share your most recent error log? (Crashes don't always produce an error log, so you may not see any in the folder).
  • On Windows, press the windows key + R and enter %appdata%/stardewvalley/errorlogs.
  • On Mac, from your desktop click Go in the menubar (in the top right), then "Go to folder..." at the bottom of that menu. Enter ~/.config/StardewValley/ErrorLogs/.
If you have SMAPI installed, the best way to share a log is via https://smapi.io/log. Thanks!

On the PS4, the game crashes sometimes when all players go to bed on Split-Screen. I don't know why, but it tends to happen when we have a successful Skull Cavern run. Our first time getting to layer 100, the game crashed after we were all in bed.

I don't know if this is relevent, but it was past midnight.

Thank you for the reply. Here is the last one, I guess. I don't have SMAPI. Do I need it to fix SV?

SMAPI just has a console that helps with error logging. I wouldn't say it's necessary, it's just a tool that some people use to help diagnose.
