Windows [HELP] Game Won't Load Saved Games Please Help

Hi all. I'm at my wits end I haven't played Stardew Valley in a year so decided to play it today. As far as I get is clicking a saved game and then it just closes. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Stardew Valley and I've downloaded the most recent version of SMAPI. When I try to install SMAPI I get the attached error. I have tried downloading it manually but that does not work, either. Please can someone help me?

Are you on Steam? You might have the Compatibility version of the game installed (which is intended for older computers, at least that's what I understand)

Right click the game in your library, go to properties and then go to 'betas'. Select 'none' and let the game update, then try SMAPI again. It should work then!
