Switch [HELP] Down arrow walking super slow

I am having an issue where I try to make my character walk using left joystick. The joystick not the problem because when my character is on the horse it moves normal. When the character walks and I move left joystick down the character goes super slow. Any help for this?

I think it might be the joystick because i have had this before on a ps4 controller in a different game. The reason it doesnt go slow on the horse is because the horse moves at the same speed all the time even if you move your joystick a little bit it will still go max speed. So you need to get a new controller pretty sure but i could be completely wrong

I think Itzamj might be right, although a temporary fix that might work is to turn on auto-run in the game settings, which will make your character always move at max speed with any movement input.

I had this problem for a while and thought it was a joystick issue then it just weirdly resolved itself, always showed up when i was harvesting my ancient fruits
