PC [HELP][BUG] Pam is *CONSTANTLY* going to the island multiple days in a row

Dunno if this is a bug but I'm about to commit Pam-icide (somehow...)

1.5.4 single player game, PC via Steam on Windows, a couple mods running (easier Junimo Kart and Prairie King, extra board requests)

I'm in Winter, community center is fixed and Ginger Island unlocked. Pam is at Ginger Island approximately 4 days out of 5, no exaggeration. At one point, I got the 7-day quest from Qi to get to level 100 of the skull mine without eating any food in there... and she *went to the Island* every single day so I never even got the chance to attempt it. Other times, I've wanted to go to the desert to deliver a request to Sandy, or go on a certain day (e.g. Thursday to buy Deluxe Speed Gro) and I can't because Pam is *never* there.

Seriously. If it's sunny on Ginger Island, Pam goes to the island. She's worse (for me) than some people's issues with Marnie (though personally I never have problems with Marnie... interesting...)

I don't have a desert totem, and I don't have the recipe for the desert totem, so I can't go that route currently.

Is there some workaround, or a mod I could download even, that will let me drive myself to the desert or something when Pam is slacking off like this? I mean, I know I drive myself home if I *do* go to the desert via totem... so why can't I just drive myself there? I'll even still pay the 500g! xD I dunno. Anything to preserve the few remaining hairs on my head that I haven't pulled out yet, lol. I've never gotten the 'walk to the desert' mod because it felt too cheaty to avoid the access gating (comm center), cost (totem) or cost+time (bus) but... at this point... maybe that's what I've gotta do.

Most good Stardew players only use Pam to drive the bus a grand total of once, to get to the desert for the first time.
Beyond that, you should generally be using warp totems, which are trivially obtainable from the Desert Trader.

Are you playing with any mods currently? It's possible that could be effecting NPC schedules.

Uhh... I'll bet you anything I've got more hours in Stardew than you do, and certainly less condescension. So please, you enjoy your way of playing the game, and I'll enjoy mine. I don't use totems, I don't use the warp scepter, I don't use sheds, I don't use the gold clock, and I don't use the obelisks. Heck I don't even get or ride a horse most of the time (though I'll buy the stable for appearances) or drink coffee. And I still usually finish the community center first year. I'm sorry if that pains you but I'm not going to stop.

And no, the recipe for the totem costs 10 Iridium *bars* , and each totem itself costs 4 more iridium ore to make (among other things). Nobody's going to achieve that with just one trip to the desert unless they're cheating, living in the wiki, or both. You do you, but it's not for me.

@Odin - Nothing that I know of that would affect schedules. I have mods for configurable Junimo Kart and Prairie King to make them a bit easier. I have a mod that adds some extra requests to the big board below Lewis's house (Lumisteria's. Which, I think I could update... but no requests from Pam that I've seen so far on that either.) Only framework mods are SMAPI and Content Patcher

Alright, thanks for the reply!

I'm thinking this will be chalked up to crazy RNG (and that's fine, random includes the extremes as well as the averages xD) but now I'm curious so I've started recording Pam's decisions in my game vs the island weather, heh.

At any rate, what I have so far:
- Winter 23 - went to the island
- Winter 24 - went to the island
- Winter 25 - drove the bus (note it's the Winter Star holiday and also it was raining on the island so I expected this one)
- Winter 26 - drove the bus! (and it was sunny on the island)
- Winter 27 - drove the bus again! (and again, sunny on the island)

Haha, she's just taunting me now. xD

If you go to the island, you can toggle off the resort with the option in the changing rooms. If you turn that off, the villagers will not go there the next day.
