Xbox [HELP/BUG] Lost quest item

I was on ginger island doing the quest for the elderly woman when I was swarmed by the tiger slimes and died. I lost the item for the quest and now I can't complete it. Its been a few days in game now. What should I do?

Go to Marlon and check if he has the item.

Also check the lost & found in Lewis' house.
