Have caught fish offer location info for future catching

Once you catch a fish, it would be nice if your fish collection offered info on where to find them again (even if it was a simple system that just said "morning" or "evening" instead of exact hours). Should list location (river, ocean, lake) and weather. Maybe special fish could just have question marks, but common fish should have this.

Because right now trying to remember where and when to catch certain fish for recipes is a pain and usually makes me turn to the wiki instead of any in game info.

Is it just the generic tips channel or is it something more specific that covers more fish? I've seen the occasional episode that just shows a few fish at a time.

I like that, imnvs, doesn't give you more info than you already know but very useful. I think it should say time caught as well (in general terms like morning, late afternoon etc)

Also I'm on Switch waiting for 1.5, the new update ISSSloth mentioned does sound helpful but I'd really like something portable as well

This is a popular suggestion and rightfully so! I really hope something like this is added in the game!

Honestly, just do it like Animal Crossing does in the latest game. I've been surprised recently by how much I find myself wanting this feature in stardew, particularly for recipe reasons. It would be nice to not have to pull up the wiki on my phone if I could just hover for a tooltip in the collections menu, you know?

And what about fish that can be caught in multiple seasons, like Eel, and fish that can be caught at multiple times of the day, like Halibut?

So um, like, how does AC do things?

Well, with the latest AC, you can look at critter pages in a collection menu and they will tell you how to catch it.
AC uses a 12 month calendar and 24 hour days. Each critter page shows a list of months and scale of a clock, with the appropriate segments colored in or highlighted for the critter you are looking at. That would work well for the fish you mentioned, as for sturgeon, sardine, tiger trout, etc. It doesn't include information on weather conditions IIRC, but they do impact certain spawns, as in SDV.
If Ape were to implement a similar feature, with selectable pages per fish instead of just a hover tooltip, there could also be a greyed out map image with the relevant bodies of water colored in. I think a tooltip with brief summary list of info would be the easiest, though.
It also would be nice to have the sell prices listed somewhere!

Not saying it wouldn't be cool. Just wondering what it would be like if Ape decided to implement things his own way.
