Have an election on a semi-regular (bi-annual??) basis. Have cut scenes where Lewis is exposed for the corrupt and incompetent politician that he is.
I'm tentatively suggesting bi-annual in game, because nothing is bi-annual in the game, and it would bring a bit of freshness, and IRL, some elections actually are bi-annual. By the time year 2+ rolls around, you've got a good handle on the game mechanics (most likely), and this is something for the later game, because the very late game does get a bit stale, and this would help liven it up a bit.
