Switch harvesting from the left vs harvesting from the right

I marked switch because it is the device I mostly use where this is an issue but it exists for pc and possibly other devices.

When harvesting crops and walking towards the right side of the screen the character gets to the column of crops and harvests from top to bottom then moves to the next column., but when walking towards the left you grab the middle, bottom and then the top of the column all of which with the character having to take a step to get closer before picking the fruit and this results in the harvest speed being noticeably faster when going to the right side.

It's been this way for a long time, but I was hoping to hear whether it could be fixed for the potentially final update of stardew before moving on to full attention for haunted chocolateir.

Hello Mcsqizzy and Welcome to the Forums!

This is a quirk of the game for all versions, I see it on PC and Mac as well as on Switch. You harvest multiple columns quite a lot quicker moving from Left to Right than vice versa, in the way that you describe. It may have something to do with how the game scans tiles for your Farmer to do actions on but it's unlikely ever to be changed.

Shame, since its prob the only complaint i have with the game. that and the overall superiority of barns over coops except maybe the gold chicken.
