There are little things all throughout the game that I think CA put in there for a little bit of a laugh, like Lewis's 'shorts'. Not sure about what was intended with this specific marriage dialogue from Haley, but I know things like this are in other parts of the game for fun. Otherwise, there's no reason why Lewis should be losing his 'shorts' in Marnie's room, or why Marnie may occasionally take the gold mayor statue and put it in her room after you leave it in town overnight. I think she likes to stare at it, meaningfully... longingly.

Haley might be meaning something innocent enough too though, like a massage or a hug.

I just love the cheeky story that's going on between Lewis and Marnie. The secret letter told us to check a bush down by the river at a specific time. Out jumps Lewis and Marnie and sprints
to their homes, as they had been drinking double triple expressos. :)

And back to (wink, wink, nudge, nudge)

I went to the Winter Festival and spoke to everybody, and Haley says:

"Me...Oh, I'm just thankful for...how about I just show you when we get home tonight?"

Haley is one of the most honest people you meet in town, honestly. Over the course of befriending her, too, she changes and grows up a lot.
Ya know, that's one of the things I absolutely love about SDV. Yes you can just farm. Or you can ignore farming and fish. You can ignore your quest journal or become obsessed with it. You can ignore the town people or befriend them. It doesn't matter how one plays. But if you become invested in becoming friends with everyone, the game comes to life around you.
