Kent would be a great match for a men's barber, especially if you need a crew cut or maybe were thinking of trying out a flattop, but my headcanon based on this variety of existing hair colors:
...without even touching the proportion of "natural" redheads in the Valley, is that there must be hairdressing happening without the Farmer being privy to how it's being done. Now yes there is the
Vending Machine Statue of I-Wanna-Look-Different or whatever it's called that the Wizard keeps in his basement (
!! quite the implication there...) for the Farmer to use but it's not clear that anyone else has access to it.
Instead, in one alternate universe that Farmer Bobbi stumbled into Pelican Town's Hairdessing salon she says purely by accident, but really by being rather a poor swordswoman and losing a fight with...
The Slimes.
They come in all the different requisite colors and they really do seem to like piling on people, so the more civilized Slimes decided to set up shop deep in the woods and run a little Head Fur Salon (their words, not mine!), by invitation only. When you see certain people in the Valley mention how they like to take walks here 'n there on occasion, that's the local code for "I gotta clean up my roots." When you're looking for that certain Villager to gift something or fulfill their request and they're totally nowhere to be found, now you know where they went.
But never fear, Emily and Farmer Bobbi have contracted with a few enterprising Slimes and if you just head past your Farm to the next one down the road, you'll happen upon our modest Farm Emporium, Clothier
and...
Hairdresser.
You can see that today's special is Green with those Slimes warming up for the day, though we aim to provide Slime Haircoloring and styling for all colors once the business expands. Feel free to stop by though Purple and Plum are by appointment only due to high demand!
