Golden Walnuts from the Volcano

I've been through the Volcano quite a few times now collecting cinder shards to upgrade my galaxy sword. Wiki says there are 19 total walnuts you can get from the Volcano. Is there any way to determine if I have all of them? I doubt it, but thought I would post the question here. Also, is it random how you get them? i.e. do I have to get 2 from chests? Given the number of times I have been there I suspect I have them all, but I need many more to be able to open Qi's place.

Sadly the one way to see if you got all the Golden Walnuts is to check the wiki for the locations and go and see for yourself.
There are some pre-determined ones, like the ones you see across the island but sometimes you can have the golden walnuts dropping from the enemies in the volcano.

The parrot in the jungle can give some clues, so if there are more left in the volcano, it will tell you sooner or later. However, if you've been to the volcano a lot and killed enemies, smashed rocks and opened crates, you probably have them all. Others can be gained from farming and fishing for example.
