Gold walnuts above field office

I can't figure out how to get to the two walnut plants and the bridge above the field office. Any suggestions?

There's a sneaky hidden, yet straightforward way to get there. The bridge isn't there just for show...

FYI I figured out just about none of these without help from the Wiki. My brain just doesn't work that way.
