Goblin Village(s) and other communities in the mines.

During the 10 years of SDV video, ConcernedApe mentioned that an early version of the game had "Goblin Villages" in the mines and that those entrances in the corners of some levels of the mines used to lead to other rooms on the same floor that would be part of those villages.

I understand that the mines changed a lot since this was a concept, but I think it would be really cool if every 20 floors or so there was a goblin, dwarf, or shadow person village you could explore and get some cool items in like weapons and armor beyond the boots you find in chests.

This could also be a good place to expand on the uses for the void egg (and maybe, if we're brainstorming here, to add a useful item like Void milk from a cursed cow or goat? I bet the dwarf would like it more.) one floor might have a saloon and sell some void food items and void recipes (void cake? Void omelette? Void cookies & milk for void Santa?) along with some other recipes that make sense for the mines (char grilled bug steak, bug steak & slime eggs, steamed cave carrot, cave carrotcake, maybe even a salad recipe using fiber on Floor 20 since weeds are fairly common in the first few floors of the mines and a mushroom recipe on the lower levels).

The shadow person village could be the lowest one, on floor 100 or 120, while the dwarf's (maybe he could get his own name now) cutscene dialogue Could say Keobus was only allowed on that floor rather than saying they were banned from the mines altogether while Krobus could just be passing through.

Side note, I think a junimo village deep in the secret woods that you gain access to after doing the community center or missing bundle would be really cute. You could buy junimo furniture, clothing andsome new unique items here and maybe construct some unique buildings using raisins as currency or by doing a new bundle.

Maybe one of the villages wouldn't have a shop at first, but after you bribe the Henchman he opens one.

What about the joja route? Especially with unique items, would they be only for people who did the CC? Though probably not, since joja services on GI aren't affected by that choice.
But yes a junimo village would be really cute and awesome for happy pics!

Good point on the joja thing. I feel like there could be an alternative way to earn the junimos' trust, or maybe the Joja route would mean the joja mart would expand its inventory but the player would never unlock the junimos' village.

I do love the idea of the henchman becoming a character beyond his one role in a quest

Joja expanding their inventory sounds fitting. Tho the junimo hut isn't CC route exclusive, right? So the junimos agree to work for you even if you go joja, maybe they'd also agree to trade. Unless they don't and the Wizard is just forcing them to when you pay for the hut. I'm leaving towards expanded Joja inventory either way.

Make him befriendable!
