Gifting Artifacts

For the moment, artifacts are always an hated gift and I feel it doesn't always make sense?
Like, Abigail, who is interested in the mines, should love the ancient sword! Or Haley the elvish ring or maybe Maru would be interested in the dwarf gadget?
Willy could like the dried starfish and the anchor, the wizard the dwarf scrolls etc.
Just more variety in the reactions toward artifacts gifts, to fit the characters interests and personnalities, would be nice!

I've thought about this as well! It seems to me that Shane in particular should like the Chicken Statue; I remember the first time I found it, I immediately went to give it to him because I figured he'd love it, and he yelled at me for giving him garbage. XD

Oh yeah, I definitely think that various NPC reactions to certain artifacts should be adjusted. For example, why is it that Abigail, who plays the flute, hates the bone flute? And as for minerals, maybe Gus could like or love lemon stone? Maybe he would be curious about its culinary uses due to it supposedly being a Dwarvish delicacy?
