Switch George's 6 hearts event not finishing

In George's 6 hearts event, nothing happened no matter how long I waited after he said "いいか、あの事故さえなかったら、わしはいまごろ若いニワトリよりも元気にしとるさ！" (the English text is "Well I'll have you know that I'd be spryer than a spring chicken if I hadn't been in that accident!") and the dialogue window closed. The TV screen and the pendulum clock in the room were still active. Fortunately I could skip the cutscene by pressing the minus button on my controller.
