just found out the PC Gamepass version of stardew can be modded, would steam mods work? and if so how does one go about installing them?

The mods are the same. There is info about how to do it with Game Pass. Unfortunately, it was released to Game Pass with show-stopper bugs for some of the most important mods.

:( oof that's unfortunate. If people love the vanilla game on gamepass, the full (mod-able) game on Steam or GOG is only $15. Not a bad deal.
