Game save

Hello everyone. The last time I played was last September. Played three game years, completed the game. Now I saw that a major update was released and decided to launch the game. In choosing to save, I saw that my character was reset, all progress was lost. Can this be fixed somehow? I wouldn't want to end this game on that note. Before that, I only changed the hard drive. Could it be because of this?

First, what platform are you playing on?

Second, can you find your save? You said it was reset... was it just gone, or is it just reset back to day 1 year 1?

Because you said something about changing the hard drive, I'm inclined to think that's part of the issue. Your save was on your hard drive. With the hard drive swapped out, unless you backed up your save and then restored it to the new hard drive, it would be gone. If you are playing on PC, though, it is possible GOG or Steam (whichever you bought the game from) has a cloud backup of your save that could be restored.

I play using steam. Now in my save i have played 3 hours. I started playing after the update, where they added multiplayer(3hrs). After i played alone on the same save, played more than 200 hours. As i understand it, the problem is that these first 3 hours were recorded via the cloud, and the remaining 200 were recorded on a hard disk
Am i right?
