iOS Game just crashed

returning home from pelican town and the screen went black only showing a thumbnail of coral. When I touched it the text box showed up. Music still playing.
I restarted my iPad but the game isn’t reloading.

I use my apple pencil which sometimes skitters on the screen and megazooms in
