PC Game Crashing due to Empty Slot

I have an inventory slot that appears empty but when I'm on it, something swings like a sword. If I try to trash it, put it in a chest or sell it to the adventurer's guild, the game crashes. If I just leave it alone, the game will crash randomly. I think I got this item from the volcano. Has anyone else experienced this? So far none of the updates have made my game playable. :(

Do you play with mods?

Kinda sounds like a mod not dealing right with a new item.

An item without sprite issue certainly sounds like a mod issue. Have you looked into the Mod forum to see if something there addresses your issue?
