Switch Game crash in year 3 with Secret Santa

I play split/screen on the switch. Currently in year 3 at the winter festival. The game crashes as soon as the invited person in the coop trys to gift the secret santa recipient.
In my case, it is Jody and I'm trying to gift her a chocolate cake. She thanks me, then fade to black for the cutscene. But before the cutscene appears, the hard crash happens.
The host of the game had no problem gifting Caroline.
No problems at year 1 and 2.

I have read that others have the same problem in year 3.
