Hello! My wife and I have been having this issue on our local co-op game where the textures freeze on my end (player 1). I see that it was supposed to be solved with 1.6.4 but the bug persists. Not sure if it helps to know but this bug doesn’t appear to happen for anyone else playing locally, but if player 2 is mining at the same time as me when this bug appears then any items dropped are not able to be picked up by either player even though the bug doesn’t happen for player 2 if that makes sense. Not a huge issue because you can still find the ladder to the next floor.
