Xbox Freeze glitch in coop on Ginger Island

In co-op mode, ever since the last update, we can't go to Ginger Island together without it freezing and the game restarting. We can each go to the island individually, but only the farm host can access the mines. If the guest goes to the island alone and enters the mines, it results in an endless loop in the lava area without ever getting to any area that is mineable. It just repeats each time you cross the lava river and walk through the first tunnel to the north. If the host goes alone everything works fine.

This started happening over the weekend. Is anyone else experiencing this glitch?
