1.6 Update Fps Bug?

So starting off,
I am on console (ps4) my game is currently on update 1.62.
There isn't any kind of error code or anything just something I noticed while playing.
A bug where my games fps (not sure how much as console doesn't show this) drops considerably after I kill a monster, at first I noticed it with the slimes and figured my slime hatch must have too many in there or something so I killed a few to see if the game could manage. Later in the mines trying to get mystery boxes any of the enemies I'd kill would made the fps drop. if I killed multiple it seemed as if the game froze for at most 1 second. Figured I would ask if in any of the updates after 1.62 if this was something that had been resolved since steam says the game for pc at least is in what I remember being either 1.65 or 1.66.

Also to mods, I know a previous thread mentioned a save file is recommended for posts like this I just have no clue on how to transfer a save file off of my ps4 so I apologize for not having one attached.

1.6 has brought some performance issues to older consoles like the PS4 and Switch (which is also just weak overall), CA has given a quick temporary fix for some performance issues which was taking hats off of pets which for some was causing lag

For you, your best bet would be leaving a bug report in the bug report section on the forums, that way devs can actually see and address it as that's where they've been checking for issues to patch

Also don't worry about not having a save attached, there is no way to get saves legitimately off of consoles

1.69/10/11 are all quite buggy. Even on PC. They keep updating it. Over and over again. In just the few days since the release. Honestly I think they had too many people getting upset, cussing them out, saying horrible things about them and how slow and lazy they were (which the total opposite is true) so they rushed to please people. These things take time. Lots and lots and lots of time. When people get impatient, belittle and cuss out the developers it makes them overwork, they get stressed out and get burnt out. When you’re burnt out you do the absolute best you can but it can cause little mistakes called bugs. In a video game one bug can cause a lot more bugs and thins go haywire. This is why it’s best to leave them alone, let them do their thing even if it takes many extra months or a couple years. Better quality, less bugs, less need for so many post release updates. After all, no one likes it when others treat them like this towards their work, or at their jobs, right? A little patience and respect for others go a long way.

Most of the really quick patches that just came out were to help issues that were stopping players from doing anything at all (PS players in europe just couldn't launch the game at all), overall most of the criticism if any has been from those with weaker devices complaining on performance, which is something that was to be expected with the update releasing too

Right, I was saying that we should be respectful and understanding towards them while they resolve things. They were indeed rushed by fans belittling them and their ability to work hard and fast enough. That’s all. We agree.
