Fossil - The Big Animal Tailbone

I've dug up every square of Fern Island, fished its rivers and seas, braved the labyrinth. Where the devil it the tailbone of the 'big animal' so I can finish the fossil collection for Prof. Snail?

Not all animal bones are dug for. You have to cut weeds on the east side for the petrified frog, for example. There's no other way to get it. The tail? You have to go panning. I don't want to just spoil it for you, now that you know that, but in case you want the full answer: you need to go panning at the dig site.
