Hello, Pathoschild requested I post this here since it appears to be a bug in the unmodded game, though it would only affect modded NPCs. If a vanilla NPC is set to "FlowerDanceCanDance": true, they will offer the dance prompt at the Flower Dance regardless of "CanBeRomanced" status. However, a custom NPC must be set to "CanBeRomanced": true in order to offer the prompt, otherwise they do not.
(Modded note: If the content pack is reloaded using patch reload, the prompt itself will fire properly after daily dialogue. The dance will be missing sprites because patch reload inside a festival apparently breaks a few things.)
Repro pack contains:
Nonromanceable NPC (JortsCat) mod with "FlowerDanceCanDance": true and "CanBeRomanced": false. Does not dance.
Nonromanceable NPC (Marlon) mod which turns an antisocial vanilla NPC into a social one with a disposition. Does dance with "FlowerDanceCanDance": true even with "CanBeRomanced" set to false.
