So I found the fix for the sophia issue in my first thread - I had to fix an issue with SMAPI. Now that that's resolved, i was able to play for a bit today. I went and on a whim, checked my error log and it said to update four of my mods, including content patcher, cfb item spawner and cfb cheats menu.
Now, the game won't load after the initial screen, and it won't recognize my game controller (xbox, works fine on other games, also checked device manager and no issue)
