I appreciate the idea to use
Bombs somewhere else other than their primary intended use as a Farming tool, however Farmer Bobbi has become more pacifist when it comes to Fishing as wife Emily seems rather concerned for their scaly ecosystem compatriots. She seems not to like Fish-based foods much and occasionally expresses concern for their well-being.
And as it turns out they got to know each other while Bobbi was lazily Fishing outside of the sisters' house one sunny afternoon. Totally Fishing, not restfully reposing underneath a shady tree with a fishing pole propped up with her legs at
exactly 3:40pm when a certain someone just happened to be leaving for work. Emily totally by coincidence noticed the not entirely new Farmer wearing atypical shorts and appearing to attract local
blue haired villagers fish to her bait and came over to chat, inquiring with a furrowed brow and a look of concern about the fate of said finned friends.
Bobbi mentioned that she was there feeding the Fish but preferred not to hand-feed them because she wasn't the biggest fan of Fish lips. Emily wasn't quite having this explanation but Bobbi drew in her line to show that the bait was all missing and proceeded to put more bait on her Li'l Duckie bobber. "See, it's really the Duckie feeding the fish, they don't even know it's me!" Bobbi exclaims.
With fingers crossed behind her back. As she'd already caught a buncha Fish for the Community Center Bundles which was how she'd purchased the Bobber from Willy. Aaaand the remaining Fish had learned to steer well clear of her regular bobber. Li'l Duckie was all a ruse. But there's no need to bore Emily with teensy boring details like those...
Tossing the Duckie out again, the Fish clamored around it's food-infested feet and munched away. Well, Bobbi assumed they munched as she never heard munching sounds even though on occasion she'd place the Duckie close to shore and stick her ear near the water to listen. All she received was a buncha fin wiggling and tail splashing and a wet head leading to an ear infection. Stupid fish figuring things out so quickly.
Emily watched the happy Fish eating with a smile, which didn't fade as she turned to glance at Farmer Bobbi. Bobbi was
pretty sure she didn't look too nervous or worse, a sweaty mess as suddenly it seemed very warm even in the breezy shade. Returning the smile with only a small bead rolling from her temple, they got to chatting and rather enjoying each other's company. Gus would have to wait a bit longer for his barmaid that day and maybe only
just a few most, loads of subsequent ones, too.
So yeah, I don't know if Farmer Bobbi can really get away with Fish Bombing.
