Xbox Fishing Bug (Maybe intentional?)

If you fish right before 2 AM and get a chest, when your character tries to open the chest they will fall asleep and end the day. You don't get the contents of the chest, maybe it is intentional but it seems like a bug.

I hope that's not intentional. At the very least you should receive the contents of the chest before passing out.
