Well; its seems that fishing is unproductive and should be avoided

it can help in the first spring for a small amount of energy and heals

Once you can buy crab pots you can quickly gain levels; 100 pots x $2500 = $250,000 for 500 exp daily

Its the coal thats needed from trash and driftwood; you can fill every water spot in the game to have nearly endless amounts of coal and quick fishing levels

But how are you going to buy 250,000 g worth of crab pots early game? And also, fishing is a great way of earning money quickly in the early game. If you dislike fishing, you can always go the crab pot route.

Honestly I kind of agree with this since I dislike fishing a lot TwT

i actually made my first pots with iron bars; its a little expensive but it helps with the fishing levels while you build up your daily income from coops and barns. the fishing skill that allows for pots to be automatically filled is helpful too; its not a early early game thing

I most spend time in first year by fishing. In 2nd year and then, i just fishing for villagers request and legendary fish hunting or just fill the collection.
Because, in 2nd year i already developed the farm using money from fishing in 1st year, crafting keg jar and other artisan machine.
Yes, fishing is worth until you have a good production farm.

You can fish in the mines for a special type of fish; different fish at different times. I think it depends on your needs and the quests you hope to do
