Creator Response First Playthrough Questions

Hey! I just completed my first playthrough, but ended up with a few lingering questions and clarifications. Otherwise for the most part, the game flow was smooth after the initial setup. Thanks in advance!

General:
1. Trading
Are there an unlimited number of trading/selling "actions"? (i.e. if player A (with Tiller) and player B have 5 items in their inventory. Can player B give player A all 5 items to sell, one by one?)

2. Exploring the Mine
Are Map Cards only replaced when descending (i.e. the mine does not "reset" each time it is visited)? It seems strange that there are so many Map Cards provided, but only a few will be used each playthrough.

Crops:
3. Crops in Winter
Can crops still be grown during Winter, just that none are available to buy/plant?

4. Crop Supply
Is the crop supply limited to its initial stock? (i.e. when crops are sold, they are discarded instead of returning to Pierre's supply)

5. Planting Crops
Can crops be planted into a higher number field (i.e. the square is occupied, but I still want to purchase the crop)?

Bundles:
6. Replacing a Bundle
The rule states
Replace a revealed Bundle Card with a new faceup Bundle Card matching the room.
. Is the new bundle random or chosen by the player?

7. The Vault Bundle
Are partial donations valid? (i.e. Can 5 gold be donated towards the 6 gold bundle?)

Villager Questions:
8. Willy/Demetrius/Maru/Pierre
Can the profession upgrades be applied, even if it is not the player's profession?

9. Abigail
Does this ignore the "current season" restriction?

10. Evelyn/Abigail
Do these gift abilities include the effect of tools?

11. Jas
Does this follow the regular donation rules, and does not ignore the slot letter?

12. Harvey/Alex/Elliot
Is the pool of random items the remaining tiles from the bag? (i.e. "Gain 1 Artifact" is equivalent to "Gain 1 random Artifact")

Item Questions:
13. Retaining Soil
Can this be triggered when it is not the owner's turn, to allow a different player to harvest the crop? Does this effect include the bonus from the watering can?

These answers are based on my reading of the game rules and from playing the game once, I certainly don't know all the rules yet.

Trading is done separately from the actions on your turn and there are no actions in trading. You can do as much as you want during that period.
Are Map Cards only replaced when descending (i.e. the mine does not "reset" each time it is visited)? It seems strange that there are so many Map Cards provided, but only a few will be used each playthrough.
Only when descending or when something specifically says to do so (mine event cards for example will sometimes ask you to draw a new map card).
Can crops still be grown during Winter, just that none are available to buy/plant?
Correct, unlike the video game, crops never wither and can continue growing during any season.
Is the crop supply limited to its initial stock? (i.e. when crops are sold, they are discarded instead of returning to Pierre's supply)
Nope, crops and other items from the supply should be returned there when selling or discarding them. It's the fish and mineral/artifact tiles that should be set aside and not returned to their bags.
Can crops be planted into a higher number field (i.e. the square is occupied, but I still want to purchase the crop)?
I don't think so. If you're looking to plant more crops during a game, I recommend you or another player select the hoe as a starting tool and upgrade that!
Is the new bundle random or chosen by the player?
Since you're supposed to shuffle each bundle room card set at the beginning of the game, drawing a new bundle card will give you a random one. (In board games, "reveal" generally means the same as draw the top card in a deck).
Are partial donations valid? (i.e. Can 5 gold be donated towards the 6 gold bundle?)
Yep! The rule book states "You may place resources onto a Bundle even if you don't have enough to complete it." So this goes for all bundles.

I haven't gotten all the villagers yet while playing, so unfortunately I can't help with your other questions. Hopefully someone else can cover those!

Villager help! As always, this is just my best interpretation of the rules, and not any final authority.
8. I believe that you are allowed to mix professions- to my best understanding, your profession determines which deck you are drawing from at the end of the season, and not only what you are limited to. Otherwise, some villager's gift abilities would be useless, and I don't think that's the intention.\
9. Yes!
10. No!
11. I believe it's regular donation rules, with the idea being that you can simply use the gift ability to save yourself the time/action of having to go there and do it yourself during your action phase, freeing you up to be more productive elsewhere.
12. Yes!
13. No idea, because reply question- is that an item from the item deck? I do not see it.... might be missing a component

Retaining Soil can be triggered by its owner during another player's turn, and therefore its owner would collect any harvested crops. It does not gain the benefit of the Watering Can however.

Edit: I made a mistake here. The Retaining Soil and Watering Can do work together if owned by the same player. If a player without the Watering Can uses Retaining Soil, regardless of whose turn it is, they do not benefit from the Watering Can.

Is my interpretation of the profession thing correct? i.e you can obtain upgrades from other professions if you would get them through unconventional means, such as a villager gift? Or is it such that, if you would get a profession from a villager and it's not your class, nothing happens?
