Feedback on Co-op

When playing Co-op I wish there was the option to pause the game (and time) in some way, for example if all players open the menu.
Maybe an in-game option to request pause-time that needs to be accepted by all other players and sends everyone to the menu with inventory etc.
I read online that there are mods for this but I play on Nintendo Switch.

Have you tried having the host enter /pause (and then /resume) in the chat box? You bring up the chat box by pushing in one of the joysticks, I think the left one. I don't have anyone to test this with, but I know I can access the chat box (it comes up every time I play Journey of the Prairie King), and those are universal commands for multiplayer. They only work if the host does it.
