Feast of the Winter star multiplayer

Hi guys. Hope you're all doing great. I got a question. In the Stardew Valley Fair we could both choose 9 items for display. Since the patch we choose together. For me it doesn't matter. But now the question tied to it. We both got a letter to who we have to give a gift to.We had different a person each. She had Sam and i got Evelyn. But after that Vincent both gave us a Magma Geode. Before we never had the same person give us something. Was it just random or do we now always get the same person/gifts? Hope it's still random because i really liked it that way. :)

It's random, yes. It was just chance and won't normally have the same person give you both gifts for the Feast of the Winter Star event.
