Favorite festival and why?

For me.. i honestly don't know or maybe i just can't pick so most definitely not spirits eve, not the egg festival, wait let me rank all of em


1 ) ? future festivals maybe

2 ) All the winter fests.

3 ) i forgot Dance of the moonlight jellies wasn't in winter lol

4 ) Flower dance, I like to see me dance

5 ) Fair

6 ) Luau

My favorite is Spirit's Eve. I think the idea of a haunted maze is awesome! Also, you always get a treasure. Close 2nd would be the Night Market. Higher variety of things to do.

Moonlight jellies. I like the music and simplicity and everyone in town going to see this wonderful natural event. On my first farm I married Leah and finding her on the farthest dock was so romantic.

Luau is my favorite just because of the secret scene that happens when putting Lewis’ shorts in it.

Night Market is my favorite. The submarine, mermaid show, pig cart, and seeds for every season. And free coffee!
I like how the shops don't close and the villagers adjust their schedules. This, along with running for 3 nights, makes the night market totally unique.

Hmmm, Egg Festival or Night Market?

I see no love for the Egg Festival yet but I like it because you get a unique item there: Strawberry Seeds ( gift for some) and it gives the opportunity for your first Hat. Also you get really one of the best choices in the game:

1. Disappoint the children by finding wayyy more eggs than them because you're an awesome adult
2. Shame someone who should be an adult and above these things by letting her win a kid's game

There's really no way to lose except I'd lose even less if they both could happen.


But then the Night Market. It also has unique items:

Deep Sea Fishing Expedition with cool Fish
Emily singing in a stage show and maybe you getting a Pearl
Lupini's not always hideous paintings
Access to out-of-season Seeds
Free Coffee (though the old every 10-minute bug's been patched, darn it)
Seasonal Decor before you get the Catalog
Traveling Cart Lady (more missing Red Cabbage Seed disappointment opportunities)


So. Which wins?

Personal gratification or public shaming. Hm, life presents tough choices. Fine fine I'll not go to Spirit's Eve as a sociopath this year and just choose personal gratification.

Night Market it is, but next year all bets are off.

I like the Flower Dance the best. The dance movements are pretty funny to watch and everyone seems relaxed and happy. I buy a lot of flowers from Pierre and have fun the next day decorating the farm with them. I lived in a small town that used to have a similar May festival (with maypoles as well), and it makes me feel nostalgic for those lovely times.

Moonlight Jellies first, by far, then the flower dance and Night Market. I especially like that the night market is a festival you can both skip and visit because it runs over time.

I like trying to remember to trade off and wear a mask for Spirit's Eve, but the fact that the maze never changes made it less exciting. (the villager costumes in Diverse Stardew Valley make me extra happy, though.) The Fair is nice enough but I generally win all the time except the odf year one. I like visiting the egg festival and the ice festival about every two years or so, it's not that exciting anymore. (unless I have dialogue mods in play that add on.)

I’m looking forward to the new festival tbh, all the existing ones are now very boring due to the utter repetition but I guess I’d have to say moonlight jellies for the music and vibe and the night market.

The fair is second place as the minigames are pretty fun and Lewis reactions are too, the strength meter is also pretty funny.

I'm also eager to see what the new festival will be. And I agree with you, there are some festivals where I click on the villagers and immediately close the dialog window, just to get the daily friendship with them.

Winter Star has best music, but I like the Night Market for the submarine fishing. I never make enough to pay for the $1000, but I don't have willie's boat yet so it's my only access to deep sea fishes.
