I think this could be a good idea if done right. Though limiting it to the standard farm isn't something i support, since the standard farm is the biggest one available as it is. I tend to find that most of the maps are already big enough if you're playing solo. Coop though gets very crowded very fast on most of the maps, and it forces you to pick and choose what to focus on, since there isn't enough space to do everything.

The reality though is a lot more heartbreaking. Most players are just too selfish to trully appreciate the concept of 4 corners. So you play 4 player co-op on 4 corners, and the map gets overcrowded very fast. The reason, as i said is because players are juat too selfish to appreciate the concept. In all the years ive played Stardew Valley, ive only met 1 person that was capable of playing REAL co-op. Most players dont want to play co-op they just want to make money faster. So instead of building 1 big crop plot for everyone to plant up and water the crops together. So when you play on maps like 4 corners, you run out of space fast, because everyone has their own plot, there own barn, their own coop there own shead. Instead of 1 shead for everyone to use. People are also too selfish to build their farmers for coop play, so instead of having 1 player who forcuses on fast growing crops with the agricultural perk, and one with the Artisan perk, everyone wants to be the Artisan because it makes the most money. The day's when people trully played games cooperatively is long over. Thats why i stay solo, im too hard working to make money for a selfish person. I usually make over 1mil in the first year of playing, and I'm not interested in investing that into a person whos too selfish to work as a team.
