Faint blue background when picking up items

Weird question but you know how (on Switch at least, idk about PC) a little box pops up in bottom left corner to say what you've picked up? How come certain items show up with a faint blue/lavender-ish coloured background? Thanks for any help!

Higher rarity items or just rare items in general have a special background. Usually just means they're valuable or needed for a quest

I have noticed that artisan goods may also show up with that colour.
