Event card question

Does the event card mainly benefit the starting player unless stated on the card or is it applied to all the players? There are "keep" cards, gain, draw, and upgrading starting tool cards that does not indicate who keeps or gains said items.

Correct, all items, resources, or profession upgrades gained from event cards go to the starting player!

Worth noting that while not all season cards have a shipping bin icon (allowing you to sell stuff before that round), you're always allowed to trade resources and item cards with other players between resolving the season card and the starting player taking their first action.
